The owner may submit a quota request or an authorised representative of a registered private establishment with a valid UAE trade licence. The required documents for the labour quota request include a valid trade licence matching the company’s business activity, a Taq’eem report for electronic quota requests, workforce records showing current employees and work volume, supporting evidence such as a list of vehicles if relevant to the activity, and proof that the requested job titles align with the licensed activities. EGSH will verify the accuracy and compliance of all documents before submission to MOHRE to avoid delays or rejection.

A company quota check in Dubai is completed instantly through the MOHRE system after verifying the trade licence and establishment file. The system shows the company’s current visa quotas, including allocated, used, and remaining slots. If an additional quota is needed, EGSH will submit a request to MOHRE on your behalf, which is approved within two working days when all requirements and documents are in order.

The official fees for visa quota approval in the UAE include a Ta’qeem report fee of AED 406 and a service commission of up to AED 72 if processed through a business centre. These amounts do not include VAT or collection charges. EGSH will provide a detailed cost breakdown before applying.

MOHRE determines visa quotas in line with Emiratisation quota requirements, which set minimum numbers of UAE nationals to be employed in specific sectors and company sizes. The number of foreign workers a company can hire is adjusted based on its compliance with these targets, with non-compliance potentially limiting future quota allocations.

MOHRE does not require a routine inspection for visa quota approval. Inspections may be carried out in specific cases to verify the company’s licensed activities, staffing levels, and compliance with Emiratisation quota requirements before approving or increasing the quota.
