Building Leasing Details Upload is the formal Dubai Land Department (DLD) procedure through which a completed building is added to the emirate’s official leasing database and enabled for Ejari tenancy registration. A building that has not undergone this procedure is considered inactive for leasing purposes, and Ejari contracts cannot be issued for any of its units.

The upload relies on core technical documents that define the final approved configuration of the property. These include the official unit list issued by the DLD Building Survey and Common Areas Section and the certified floor plans obtained from Dubai Municipality or Trakhees. The owner is responsible for providing the official documentation confirming the building’s approved structure and the authority to request activation in the leasing system.

A representative may apply on behalf of the owner if they hold a valid Power of Attorney or a DLD-recognised property management agreement. DLD verifies these authority documents as part of its standard review. Applications without clear or sufficient authority are placed on hold until the required evidence is provided.

Developers may request the upload only while the building remains under their ownership and before unit handover to end-buyers. After handover, the developer can act solely through a registered POA.
