Legal Route to Urgent Temporary Measures
A Petition Order is a legal request submitted to the Judge of Provisional and Urgent Affairs at the Dubai Courts. It enables parties to obtain a temporary court order that remains binding until the main dispute is resolved.
The order is commonly required for urgent matters such as restoring electricity or water supply, activating building and parking access cards, issuing or renewing a residence permit, inspecting leased premises, confirming subletting, or addressing urgent tenancy-related damages.
EGSH, an authorised Real Estate Services Trustee, assists clients in preparing applications and filing them in line with Dubai Courts procedures. In tenancy-related urgent cases, petitions may be submitted through the Rental Disputes Centre (RDC) under DLD authority, while in all other cases petitions are filed directly with the Dubai Courts. All documents are reviewed to ensure compliance with the applicable court requirements for a valid and timely filing.
