A valid title deed ensures that property rights are recognised and protected under UAE law and that ownership can be defended or transferred before any competent authority or court.

The registration of title deeds in Dubai is governed by Law No. (7) of 2006 Concerning Real Property Registration in the Emirate of Dubai, which forms the legal basis for recording and maintaining the DLD Real Property Register.

All newly issued certificates are now electronic title deeds (E-Deeds) that carry the same legal validity as printed ones.
