Visa Extension Services

Tourists and visit visa holders are eligible to apply for a visa extension in Dubai without leaving the UAE. This includes holders of tourist visas, family visit visas, and other short-term entry permits. As an authorised AMER Centre, EGSH provides full legal assistance with all visa application processes.

The cost to renew a visit visa in the UAE varies based on the visa type and the applicant’s location. The standard fees are: — Visa Extension Fee: AED 600 — Value Added Tax (VAT): 5% of the visa extension fee — Knowledge Dirham: AED 10 — Innovation Dirham: AED 10 — In-Country Processing Fee: AED 500 (applicable if the applicant is inside the UAE) An EGSH specialist will provide a detailed calculation of the total fee based on your case.

A visit visa in the UAE can be renewed multiple times, but the total stay—including all extensions—must not exceed 180 days from the initial entry date. EGSH ensures your visa extension requests comply with GDRFA rules.

To extend a Dubai tourist visa, you must provide a valid passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months), a copy of your current UAE visa, a recent passport-size photo (with a white background), valid health insurance for the extended period, and a confirmed return ticket or proof of onward travel. Additional documents may be required depending on your visa type or sponsor. EGSH will review and prepare all documents to meet GDRFA submission standards.

A 2-month (60-day) visa extension is available for eligible holders of visit or tourist visas, subject to approval by the GDRFA. The total cost is AED 1,140, which includes the visa fee, in-country processing charge, and mandatory government fees (Knowledge Dirham, Innovation Dirham, VAT). EGSH will confirm your eligibility and handle the whole extension process through authorised GDRFA channels.

You should apply for a visa extension at least 3 to 5 days before your current visa expires. This allows sufficient time for document processing, GDRFA approval, and issue resolution if needed. Overstaying even one day may result in daily fines and legal consequences.
