To extend a Dubai tourist visa, you must provide a valid passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months), a copy of your current UAE visa, a recent passport-size photo (with a white background), valid health insurance for the extended period, and a confirmed return ticket or proof of onward travel. A 2-month (60-day) visa extension is available for eligible holders of visit or tourist visas, subject to approval by the GDRFA. The total cost is AED 1,140, which includes the visa fee, in-country processing charge, and mandatory government fees (Knowledge Dirham, Innovation Dirham, VAT). EGSH will confirm your eligibility and handle the whole extension process through authorised GDRFA channels.

You should apply for a visa extension at least 3 to 5 days before your current visa expires. This allows sufficient time for document processing, GDRFA approval, and issue resolution if needed. Overstaying even one day may result in daily fines and legal consequences.
